A little insight into McCarrens

McCarren Direct based in Cavan town was founded in 2004 next door to McCarren & Company pig processing plant which was established in 1860 and to this day remains as a family run business. This retail shop proved highly successful and McCarren Direct has gone from strength to strength which we contribute to our consistent high standards resulting in exceptional quality produce at affordable, competitive prices. Also the knowledge of being able to trace the produce from farm to fork has without doubt aided our success story to date. Simply we strive to provide what the customer wants and now we want to make this available further afield.

Both McCarren & Company and McCarren Direct have close relationships with our suppliers resulting in them providing a highly professional service which we in turn can relay to our customers. Our history and experience enables us to source and craft our Pork, Bacon, Beef, Lamb and Chicken to a level of unsurpassed excellence. We constantly endeavor to improve by continually reassessing our business. Credit must also go to our customers from whom we have received invaluable information and guidance over the years; for which we are most grateful. As a result we strive to reward these customers by being wholly committed to distinction in the products we supply and the service we provide. It is no exaggeration that ‘the customer knows best’. Also, being one of our own best customers we won’t settle for second best so why would we expect anyone else to?
